How it works
Your iPhone pulls data from an OBD2 BLE adapter plugged into your vehicle’s OBD port usually under your steering wheel. After each drive you can see route maps and stats on miles traveled, MPG, gas cost, cost per mile and more.
Optional web dashboard: turn on upload to sync trips to getcarprint.com—see Getting started → Step 8 and the Intake form if you need a login token.
What you need
- iPhone with CarPrint from the App Store — see Getting started
- A supported OBD2 BLE adapter—for example OBDLink CX $80, Veepeak OBDCheck BLE $32, or Vgate iCar Pro $32—inserted in the vehicle’s OBD2 port
- Gasoline or hybrid with OBD2 that connects reliably with your adapter so CarPrint can read trip data

Vehicle compatibility
- CarPrint is built for gasoline or hybrid vehicles with an OBD2 port (OBD-II); most U.S. light-duty vehicles from 1996 onward have one.
- So far, CarPrint has been tested with 2023 and 2025 Subaru Crosstreks.
- Compatibility can vary by make, model year, and hybrid systems.
- Testing on other makes and models helps improve compatibility.
